Lake Tahoe and Truckee is a favorite wedding destination for us (since Kendal was born in the area and we are both HUGE snowboarders) and there isn’t a better place to say your I-do’s than standing on top of a mountain overlooking pine trees and the blue sierras–whether your backdrop is tall green grass or snowcapped peaks you can’t go wrong having a wedding in this jaw dropping setting!!!
We had the absolute pleasure of photographing Will and Meg’s mountaintop wedding at Zephyr Lodge this Summer and wowzaaaa was it beyondddddd beautiful. The wildflowers were in full bloom, it was 70 degrees, and the there wasn’t a cloud in the sky!!!
Guest arrived via chairlift, (there is something So fun about riding up a chairlift wearing fancy clothes and heals!) You feel free as a bird with your feet dangling (and not being strapped to a snowboard) it really is so magical!! Dinner was set in the modern yet rustic Zephyr ski lodge. Long wooden tables filled the room and were adorned by the most insane florals designed by Art in Bloom (she and her team are AMAZZZING). After dinner the lodge boomed with dancing, laughter, glowsticks, and karaoke! It was a wedding we won’t soon forget!!!
