When two winemakers fall in love and decide to get married on the bride’s family winery, you know without a doubt that this wedding is going to be magical.
We met Mikey and Gina at the Big Sur Food and Wine Festival last November; the couple was in town showcasing and sharing their delicious wines at the Pinot Walkabout at Post Ranch Inn. We photographed the festival (Amazing food AND beautiful wine, you know this was one event that we were definitely not going to miss) and we connected with Mikey and Gina over our shared passion for wine, adventure, and travel; It was our luck to find out they were newly engaged and still on the hunt for their wedding photographer!
Mikey and Gina’s wedding was a dream. Gina’s father is a winemaker and so their family winery, Narrow Gate Vineyards, set the most perfect scene for the nuptials. Their friends and family pitched tents and camped in the fields, and were treated to 80+ different varietals of hand-selected wine including the couple’s own labels, Scar of the Sea and Lady of the Sunshine, and a special rose blend of their combined wine! The couple said their I-do’s under a giant oak tree and everyone danced under the stars until late in the night.
We camped, we ate, we sipped, we laughed, made new friends, and we captured thousands of priceless moments, it was pure magic!!! Mikey and Gina’s wedding will go down in history as one of our favorite weddings ever (not to mention the BEST wine that will EVER be served at a wedding for the rest of our lives). It was a weekend and a wedding we will NEVER forget.
