Megan and Mark’s destination wedding and elopement was absolutely breathtaking at the Wind & Sea Estate in Big Sur, CA. It was a perfect day just off of Highway 1 to take photos for this destination wedding! The sun was shining with no trace of a cloud in sight. Megan looked absolutely gorgeous in her ChaCha wedding dress and her personalized Jericho Rose Floral bouquet. The fabric of her wedding dress and veil were beautifully dancing along the Big Sur coastline.
The entire wedding set up was complimentary to the nature of Big Sur; with an aesthetic that was organic and soft. Wedding planner Jamie of SeaStars Big Sur was an absolute DREAM to work with and brought Megan and Mark’s vision to life!! The florals were gorgeous! These bouquets had a color palette of dark greens, teal, deep burgundy, and pastel peach.
The food was absolutely delicious too. Sea Star’s catering provided such a memorable dining experience by using ethically sourced and local ingredients! It was so fun to work and collaborate with these local vendors. We had such a great time photographing Megan and Mark’s stunning coastal California wedding.

Mark and I wanted a small, intimate wedding in a beautiful and natural location. Wind & Sea offered just that. All of our guests immediately felt at home which gave our wedding the relaxed vibe we were going for and allowed everyone to have the absolute best time possible.
Our advice to those planning their wedding now is really don’t sweat the small stuff. This is easier said than done, but it’s impossible to control every detail of the day. And there is some charm in spontaneity. My best advice if planning a destination wedding like us is hire a team of local vendors that really know their craft as well as the ins and outs of the location. We were so lucky that ours all started with Jamie Jarrad of Sea Stars. Through Jamie, we were introduced to our incredible team who really made our day perfect…including Kendal and Anthony 🙂
The DeLauras were fantastic from start to finish. They are professional, easy going and efficient. The DeLauras actively listened to our vision for our day and made sure we would have the lasting memories we were hoping for. They not only guided me out of my PDA resistant shell for some beautiful and intimate shots but Kendal even helped me remove some of the sticks and twigs from my dress train. We could not have wished for a better photography team!
