How stunning is this ‘Day-After’ bridal shoot session in Laguna Beach, California??!! Brianna and Andrew were married in La Jolla this past Spring at Scripps Seaside Forum (check out their wedding photos HERE) and we were over the moon when this adorable couple wanted to get back into their wedding gear for a few sunset photos in Laguna Beach!
Photographing the bride and groom is one of our favorite parts about the entire day and we love doing Day-After or even month(s) after bridal sessions because they are so much more relaxed! You can let your hair down both literally and figuratively–brides tend to care a little less about their dress getting dirty (Let’s just admit it, being in your dress just means it’s going to be dirty–ie; walking on the beach, sidewalk, dancefloor) So after the wedding is over–who cares, right? The dress is already dirty from your day, and you’ll have to get it cleaned either way!!! (or if you are like Kendal, your Monique Lhuillier dress is still sitting in our closet dirty after 2.5 years YIKES—it’s on our to-do list to preserve it!)
Another reason we love Day After sessions is the FREEDOM in both time and location–we don’t have anywhere to be or a schedule to follow–we can capture the BEST light and keep shooting until it’s dark! The pressure is off!! We can play, climb rocks, walk on the wet sand and enjoy the moments together without the wedding day stress. We can take our time creating something really unique and beautiful so that you can relive all of the emotions of surrounding your wedding day forever–the giggles, flirtation, deep kisses, and emotional hugs, the memories, and the moments.
If you have ever thought about doing a post-wedding shoot (no matter how long it’s been since you were married), DO IT, you will not regret it—it’s seriously SO FUN to get back into your wedding dress and suit and act like newlyweds again! 🙂 🙂
