FROM THE BRIDE + GROOM
1. Inspiration for your wedding day
AISLINN: Boho, beachy, lots of olive leaves which is symbolic of peace. I wanted a lot of white (other than is being typical for weddings) because it symbolizes positivity, light, goodness, purity, heaven, protection, innocence, faith, beginnings and perfection…
JUSTIN: We wanted the day to be a fun, gigantic party with everyone who was able to fly down and enjoy our memorable day.
2. How and why did you pick your venue and or wedding details
AISLINN: It was very difficult for us to first of all pick a country to get married in at first! It took us 7 months to decide! And it was honestly between Greece and Spain. I wanted somewhere beachy, beautiful, new(somewhere we haven’t been to yet) and a place that would really capture a life full of adventure together.
JUSTIN: we found our wedding planner, Carole Bipat online at Marrymeinspain.com, who helped us find our venue, organize and communicate the wedding details. It was extremely helpful since she was there in Spain and we had never even been there before, so it ultimately made the whole process easier!
3. What special details did you include in your wedding or reception??
AISLINN: I really wanted some Spanish flare! I wanted to take in as much of the culture as possible. So this is why I wanted lots of olive leaves, I wanted our venue and the landscape to really speak volumes, It was really important to encompass as much of their Spanish Traditions as possible. So food is huge to them – so the day went according to Spanish tradition, lots of emphasis around food. The cake was traditional to Spain and the parting favors of local olive oil I thought would be nice so the guests could take a little piece of Spain back with them!
JUSTIN: We knew we wanted our wedding to have beautiful scenery and overlook the ocean. That was probably the biggest deicing factor in the venue we chose.
4. How did you make your wedding day special and make it about the two of you??!
AISLINN: I think what make our wedding day really special was first of all having it in a place that became very special to us – and doing a destination wedding that will really symbolize beginning a life together full of adventure, especially with the people who mean the most to us.
JUSTIN: We made our wedding day special by surrounding ourselves with great friends and family celebrating our day. I personally thought the “first look” was an unexpected surprise that will always be remembered as significant and paints a beautiful memory I’ll never forget.
5. Most memorable moment (s) of your wedding day?
AISLINN: My most memorable moments (its so hard to choose because the entire day was PERFECT!) I LOVED taking our photos on the beach with you guys during the cocktail hour – honestly Kendal, having you tell us to stop and take 5 minutes to ourselves to just absorb the moment was some of the best 5 minutes of the day. Best advice ever. I really cherished that and will never forget that moment in my head. I also LOVED doing the first look! I wasn’t all about it at initially, but it really allowed us to have some time together that we really wouldn’t have gotten if we didn’t do it otherwise. It helped slow the day down and let us make it about just us with no one else there. I initially thought it would take away from the emotional moments of seeing Justin as I was walking down the aisle, but we all saw that I couldn’t even keep it together as it was! haha I didn’t think I had that much emotion or tears left before that point! Another favorite moment was Justin’s dance taking off my garter belt! I will never forget how perfect that moment was! I also LOVED our first dance because we really got to be in the moment together with each other and we totally wanted to blow peoples socks off and include them once we finished Drake and get the party started! It was also EXTREMELY special having my brother Jimmy come up to me and tell me he wanted to do a dance with me. Originally I wasn’t going to do a dance other than Justin and my first dance because I thought it would be like “okkkk we get it”, it gets old watch everyone do their dances forever at weddings and my dad wasn’t there to do one with me. But when my brother Jimmy stepped up to the plate and said he really wanted to do one with me and then my two other brothers and my mom! I will never forget that. I couldn’t stop crying.
JUSTIN: The food, wine, beautiful scenery and venue and all of our guests made the entire day memorable.
6. What was your favorite part about the wedding planning process?
AISLINN: My favorite part of the wedding planning process was the last 3 weeks when I decided that everything will work out as it should and decided to let go of all the little things and just enjoy the process and being engaged to the love of my life and be excited to go to a beautiful place with amazing people!! I wish I didn’t stress so much for a few months in the middle because everything ended up being PERFECT!
JUSTIN: Being able to learn and grow with Aislinn. the whole process was fun, stressful and time consuming but looking back I am so appreciative of everything and all of the memories it gave Aislinn and I.
7. Any advice for those planning now?
AISLINN: Basically to just let things go – never forget what you’re doing this all for. Don’t worry about the people who are going to let you down because there are going to be a lot of them. Keep your focus on your new love/partner and the people who are ecstatic for you and will do anything to be there for you. Those are the ones who matter the most, the rest is just minor details.
JUSTIN: The biggest advice I recommend is to enjoy the entirety of the process, even the stressful parts. All of the stress, money, and drama will be forgotten about once you reach the big day.

9. How was your experience working with The DeLauras??
AISLINN: Our experience working with the DeLaura’s was ABOVE AND BEYOND OUTSTANDING!! We could not speak more highly of you guys. Best investment by far we made on the wedding. You guys helped make it everything that it was and we couldn’t be more appreciative of you! I honestly think every single person I know who just got engaged and is planning a wedding NEEDS to work with you guys. Best customer service, phenomenal direction throughout the shooting, how helpful you were throughout the process, your professionalism, how well you worked/got along/directed our friends and family was perfect! I’m not kidding when I say how happy we are with you guys! We LOVE you two! And every single one of our guests couldn’t stop talking about how much they loved you!
JUSTIN: Love the DeLaura’s. They added a whole new dynamic to our wedding making everyone in our wedding feel comfortable. I am very appreciative of all the hard work and dedication Kendal and Anthony put towards their craft. I would recommend them to anyone.
