BRITTNEY + JOAO // NEWPORT HARBOR // SEPTEMBER 5, 2015
Brittney and Joao had an intimate wedding on a boat in Newport Harbor. They celebrated their union surrounded by 30 of their closest friends and family. Before boarding the boat in Newport, I took the couple to a little forest clearing near their home to take their photos! I couldn’t be more thrilled with how they turned out!!!
I asked Brittney to tell me about her favorite moments from the day..
Here is what she wrote–
FROM THE BRIDE:
My favorite moment of the day: Honestly, the whole day was a complete whirlwind and what I remember most is how I felt, a smile from ear to ear and happiness just flooding my entire being. My favorite “moment” was how I felt all twenty-four hours of our wonderful day.
What inspired the theme for your wedding: We wanted the day to feel light, colorful and simplistic. The fact we were on a boat with about thirty of the closest people in our lives, mid-day, and with the Bay cascading as our backdrop, our day constituted for our ideal simple, bright and airy wedding day.
What was your favorite part about the wedding process: My favorite part was the day of the wedding and getting to see everything come together. With the beautiful work our lovely Florist (@cargocreative) put together and the small details my mom and I had added to the mix. The process of witnessing the outcome of the thoughts I had had coming together was pretty marvelous to see.
What advice do you have for other brides planning their wedding: “If you look for perfection, you’ll never be content.” – Leo Tolstoy. These are the words to live by on your wedding day.
